These were just a few of the things I was told when I first joined the network marketing world. It SOUNDED easy ... just copy and paste a few general questions and send to a ton of your friends family and random strangers.
It worked for SO MANY but it didn't work for ME. I didn't feel aligned with the way that I was being trained (and told) to work my business. That process felt fake and manipulative to me - I avoided those techniques at every turn because I hated when they were used on me.
I KNEW that there had to be a way to feel aligned with the sales process and to grow my business into something that was totally "me". I didn't WANT to be a company robot ... I wanted to be a CEO and I figured that CEO's think outside the box, like I did. I wanted to be a leader.
So I started to do a bit of research - looking into what the other peeps on social media where doing and then I found it. At that time, I noticed that OTHER companies were creating free Facebook communities in order to reach out to more people. (Admittedly there are a zillion free facebook groups out there now acting as "client funnels", but TRUST me when I say that 6 years ago in the network marketing company that I was in ... this was NOT the case. I truly was among the pioneers here lol). But here's where things took a turn.
I ASKED PERMISSION to make that shift. I asked permission from my upline. UHHH WHAT now?
WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY would I ask permission to make a change in how I run MY business from people who are telling me to do it the "company way" you ask???

I would like to suggest that I have no idea but I do ... I asked permission because I wanted success so badly and I was still thinking like an employee. I was still thinking that I needed to be told what to do and follow along like a good girl and do exactly as I was instructed. I bought into "Success Leaves Clues" but somehow it was twisted in my mind, that the CLUES I needed to follow like a fucking bread crumb trail meant that I had to walk EXACTLY like my upline did. That left me feeling so uninspired and icky though ... it made me start to HATE my business.
It also resulted in a massive drop in sales, team members and desire to continue.
What I realized in the most monumental of ways, was that the BIGGEST successes in business come from using the skills, abilities, gifts and experience that YOU have and that's what I help my clients with. What works for ME might not work for you ... because hey girl ... we are DIFFERENT. I now guide my clients into a space where we find their zone of brilliance TOGETHER and we build a business that they feel totally aligned with. In the end, THAT is what converts into sales:
Find what your clients need and deliver it in a way that is in total alignment for you, using your gifts, then MOVE and don't overthink. Most of all: let's stop asking for permission from people who are narrow-mindedly following the herd. That's not you and I ... we're more brilliant than that. ;)
