Random Thoughts from June 2021

Jun 30, 2021

GAHHHHHHHHHH I'm so excited to chat with you!!!  Even though I'm a huge introvert I'm PRETTY DANG sure the pandemic isolation has started to get to me.  I'm chatting a LOT more with Marley our black lab ... and to myself when she is bored of me.  I think we've hit that point ...

She is SOMETIMES a good listener, but today is not that day.  She doesn't judge my language though.

It's part of my charm ... lol.

COFFEE TALK

This month I've thought a lot more about risks.  I take big risks when it comes to betting on and investing IN, myself.  I trust that I'm divinely guided and that my gut will NEVER fail me.  I wasn't always that way ... I've failed forward more times than I can count, but I love it.

Now what's funny is that I can't STAND mystery bags.  I'm convinced that it's the leftover shit that no one else wants.  Pretty sure I got screwed over as a child on those grab bags of candy that are filled with sugary crap from the bulk bin that are hard as rock and likely licked by random kids and replaced back in.  (haven't YOU ever thought of that????)

I equally do not like to hurt myself so sky diving ... yah nope ... not the risk I'm going to take.

The risks I take are different.

I take risks on MYSELF.  Big huge motherfucking risks and I know I'll always come through.  I trust that in everything I do, I will up-level in some way and I love that about me.

Sometimes, it might not make logical sense to anyone else (or even to me), but I'm learning to tune out my THOUGHTS and my FEARS and just lean into that gut instinct that says "go for it, girl".

This month I invested in a course.  It was called "The Invisible Offer".  I had no idea when it started, how long the course was, what it was called or what I was going to learn ... but my gut KNEW.  I didn't think about it.  I didn't have to.  I knew the instructor, the price and I knew that I love everything she teaches.  That was all I needed to know.  I was led by my intuition and I leaned in.  I have a full time busy job, a business on the side and a full house ... and yet I paid for a course I do not actually know if I can commit to time/energy wise ... sounds crazy but I KNEW this would change my life.  When you know, you know.

In next month's newsletter I'll be talking about this even more, because I have huge announcements to make and I can't WAIT until I'm finally able to share them with you - it is the biggest risk I've taken thus far. It's gonna be exciting!!!!  Can you guess what it is??????  Feel free to email me back if you think you know it!

FENG SHUI TIP OF THE MONTH

If you're following me on INSTAGRAM stories or if you've watched one of my recent Feng Shui Friday videos in UNSTUCK with the Feng Shui Chick Facebook Group, you might have seen my relocated water fountain.  I liked it in the backyard but LOVE it in the front yard.  Plus ... our neighbours now enjoy it too!  Every morning I sit outside on my front step, chat with some chick who walks her dog (I still don't know either of their names) and drink my coffee while listening to the water flow.  It. Is. Heaven.

I have it placed in the "Helpful People/Travel" gua of our home (front right when looking toward your front door) and let me tell you ... the support, comments and love that I've received recently has been crazy cool.  I enhanced the Helpful People area and helpful people are all around me now ... see how that works out???

Water fountains also bring in good energy as well as enhance the water element.  This means more wealth opportunities!  Tips for fountains:

- outside fountains are great near the front door, if you have room
- if the water flows in one direction, ensure the water flows TOWARD your house (you want the good luck flowing TO you).  Mine circles around on all sides so it doesn't matter how I position it.  :)

I've got lots more tips about water fountains too, with respect to material that they are made of and where to place them, where not to but ... at this point, let's try to keep it as simple as we can ok???

SANDRA'S RULE:  if it FEELS good to you ... it's good feng shui.  Design your space until you love it.  Ta-DAAAAAAAH.  Now you're feng shui'ing.

COOL SHIT I LOVE:

OK last month I gave you my cheese trick and this month, I'm going to give you one for grapes.  When I was 12 or 13 I travelled to Victoria BC with my figure skating coach and a few of my skating friends for summer (skating) school.  It was smoking hot there that year and my coach chose to freeze our grapes versus purchase popsicles as a healthier option for us athletes.

K ... those suckers are GOOD.  Have you ever eaten frozen grapes???  You HAVE to try them!  They are so refreshing on a hot day, they last forever and they are good for you!

I just wash them and then shake off the excess water.  I break them apart into smaller bunches and set them on a paper towel in my freezer.  That's it.  You don't need to put them in a bag or do anything fancy (I mean ... unless you want to).  Then eat and enjoy!  Let me know if you try it!!!

also ... don't mind the speck of pepper under my nail in this picture, k???   lol

Just in case you were wondering though .......

Alright back to more serious stuff:  I'm also loving my Margaritaville Margarita Maker right about now.  It's hot as balls in this record breaking heatwave up here in Canada (like, 104F at times and it's even hotter than that in BC!!!).   You can use these makers for whatever you'd like ... I made one for Cole this morning with organic rootbeer, I had a kombucha slushie for myself today too and of course ... a good ole margarita or daiquiri doesn't usually hurt on a hot day either.

This is a pic of my kombucha slushie.  A GREAT way to end the day today!!!

I got mine at Costco YEARS ago, but Amazon sells them too of course.  They are amazing at shaving ice, blending ice into anything you'd like and are a healthier alternative for you or your kids than the crap you get at 7/11.  Below is what mine looks like but there's a really cool one that has 3 pitchers that blend all at once!!

 WHAT (or who) INSPIRES ME:

I love a good "rags to riches" story, particularly one where it is a woman who I see rise.  This month I met with a chick who was doing well in her network marketing company, making about $2500 a month which allowed her a little money so she could stay home to raise her kids.  Her world came crashing down and she left her husband unexpectedly, moved into a bedroom at her parents home that she shared with her THREE children.  (OK ... let's stop right there and realize what a fucking rockstar this woman is ALREADY.  I have days where being in the same house with the two of mine is not enough room).

Like most people, when our mindset goes in the toilet, so do our sales ... and that's what happened for her.  So, she got a few more jobs to just "get by" and then she had a moment that she calls her "Fuck this shit moment".  She got sick of her story that "nothing would ever be different for her" and she decided ... that she wasn't going to believe that anymore.

She now works about 10-14 hours a week on her business (though about 30 hours investing in mindset work ... journalling, listening to podcasts, reading personal development and meditations .... ahem ... more on this below).

And can you GUESS WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?!?

Consistent $30K months ... this month she made $100K in sales.  ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS IN ONE MONTH.  (Don't kid yourself .. I am surrounded by women who do this).

She went from sharing a room in her parents home with her three kids, working several jobs to just pay bills ... being told by a coach to consider SELLING HER CAR to pay for business coaching ... to a 100K sales in the month of June alone.

Pretty dang inspiring don't you think???

Success doesn't have to take forever ... it just has to take belief and consistency.

CLIENT SHOWCASE:

This month I've decided to showcase a chick who has uplevelled like CRAZY in the last month.

While on a treadmill, she had a complete breakdown (we chatted through it ... I didn't just leave her there, throwing her phone at the wall).  What came through that moment though was her OWN "fuck this shit" moment.  In that goopy space ... she decided to go all in.

She changed up her exercise routine, her diet, signed up for a course and redesigned her office.  She cleared the clutter, she bought a new area rug, some pictures and a super comfy chair that she was eyeing up for a while. She added in pillows and hung lights and has been in LOVE with her office ever since.  She said it was the first thing she designed that was completely "her".    She said that her mom came in to her newly designed office, sat down and didn't want to leave .....

now THAT ... is good feng shui.

oh and p.s. she has become magnetic online as well.  It's super fun to watch.

Don't be afraid to mix it up and make your office cozy, fun and absolutely YOU.  The more authentic we are in our life, our social media, our businesses are our home design, the more successful we become.  You should WANT to be in your office ... so make them you.

WHAT'S COMIN UP?

I've been receiving so many great comments on my meditations lately and I'm loving the vibe.  I also love the fact that I'm sharing with you something that:

- I once hated, but now I'm obsessed with
- has completely changed my life
- I now channel all on my own
- has helped so many women feel better, become free from negative energies of others, improve intuition, be happier, more productive, less bitchy ;)

You don't need to sit cross legged on a pillow with your hands in a mudra, facing an altar with incense burning ... to powerfully meditate.  You also don't need to make yourself wrong for HAVING THOUGHTS come up through your meditations.  In fact, when you do sourcing meditation like I do, the thoughts can be powerful messages from your higher self (or God or the angels or whomever you believe in).  There is a GIFT in many of those thoughts ... we just need to harness them.  The way I do meditations helps you with that.

Since so many of you have asked me how to get hold of my meditations ... I'm adjusting my current offer THE VAULT to be designed more for meditations, with a lot of somethin' extra.

You can sign up using the link below for $15 CAD a month and get every meditation I add in PLUS ... a ton of bonus trainings you've never seen before, you've forgotten about (or things I've forgotten about but are super kick ass).  You can try it out and cancel at any time.  Link is here girl ... are you ready????  You START with 90 days of the energy clearing meditation.  It's life changing I'm telling you.

TASTY SHIT!

I think I mentioned that Shea and I love to try out new recipes and she usually finds some great quick ones on Tik Tok (or as Cam calls it ... Tic Tac lol).  This one I have made a few times and it's definitely one of our faves for the hotter weather!!!

This picture is from the first time I made it - it's not NEARLY as pretty as the next times I have made it, but sometimes I don't think to stop drop and roll on out with the iPhone camera, you know?  You gotta take what you can get around here on busy work/school days.

Chipotle Bowls

Marinade

  • 2 lbs chicken pieces (I like boneless skinless thighs or breasts)
  • 1/2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp chipotle pepper in adobo sauce (it's a small tin can in the ethnic food aisles usually)
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1-1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (I use extra virgin olive oil)
  • squeeze of lime

Combine ingredients into a ziplock bag and marinade for a few hours

Chipotle Mayo (just eyeball this and taste it along the way)

  • your favourite mayonnaise
  • chipotle pepper in adobo sauce (a little goes a long way)
  • sriracha sauce (same as above ... this makes it HOT)
  • lime juice
  • honey
  • cumin
  • chili powder
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic powder

mix and serve in a bowl on the side or in a squeeze bottle!

For the Salad (your choice of:)

  • romaine lettuce, torn into bite sized pieces
  • black beans
  • kernel corn (cut off the cob is nice, but canned will do)
  • chopped red onions
  • chopped avocado
  • chopped tomatoes
  • shredded mozzarella cheese
  • roughly chopped cilantro

Marinade the chicken in a ziplock bag in the fridge for up to a few hours. Sautee in a pan like I did in this picture or better yet ... grill on the BBQ!

Meanwhile, mix the chipotle mayo or ... just create your own masterpiece.  It's dressing ... we aren't splitting an atom.  Be wild and free!!!

Get all of the items ready and chopped!

Our Tips n Tweaks:

Around here we love to create a make-your-own meal stations.  Chop it and place on one big huge platter or in separate bowls.  It stops the complaints when everyone makes their own meals.  lol

The first time I made this dish (when I took the picture) I had very little time and not enough ingredients on hand.  The next few times I grilled them (WAY better) and the black beans and cilantro added some great colour.  SO pretty.

The dressing in this picture is quite thick and it usually is each time I make it.  I always end up adding in more lime juice so be prepared to have a few of them on hand if you need to thin it out.  Keep tasting as you go though!!!!

I like grape tomatoes the best though roma are great in it too and I think I read that they are the least acidic???  Any tomato will do though, just try to get ones that are kinda firm if you can.

Feel free to add anything else you'd like ... fresh bell peppers, thinly sliced red chili peppers or fresh jalapeños would be nice too!

Let me know if you try it!
