Random Thoughts from May 2021

May 31, 2021

Well HEY there!!  At the end of every month, when I sit down to write this email I think "holy fuck ... this month FLEW by!!!"  Does it feel like that to you too?  I'm determined to make life slow down actually ... so let's dive into my random thoughts o' the month, shall we???

COFFEE TALK

While looking for a cute little coffee meme or picture ... I found THIS one.  I have NO fucking clue what this means, but it's ridiculous, so I'm sharing it here.  What on EARTH does a dried up piece of goat feel like, why would a famous composer like Bach also famously say this and WHYYYYYY is this what google suggests when I type in "coffee meme" though I've never ever heard of it till now?  (OK ... that's a little sneak peek into my random thoughts over ONE meme ... you see why my emails are so long now???)

Ok Sandra ... FOCUS!!!   I swear I'm only dyslexic and I don't have ADHD too ... I don't think???

Anyway, back to my random thoughts ...

Just a few days ago, this message was sent to me from a client.  It was so much of what we had been talking about this month.  Little steps.  Increased awareness.  Emotional Intelligence.  Living intentionally.  Leaning into your gifts.

We often have big goals and bigger dreams, but they seem unattainable.  We don't actually take that FIRST step because the gap from where we ARE to where we want to BE ... seems huge.  The truth is though, that EVERY step we take, gets us closer to the life we wish to lead.  EVEN when we feel we've gone backward, like a slingshot, we will eventually propel forward again.  We just need to keep stepping.

Speaking of movement ...

Lately, I've been thinking about "the old woman" ... the one that is looking back at me in the mirror at the end of my life.  What will she wish that I had accomplished if I hadn't been fearful?  What will she be most proud of?  What will she regret most?  Will she look back at me and smile or will she WISH I had just trusted myself more, invested in myself and dropped any bullshit beliefs that keep me small?

I'm determined to live an extraordinary life ... a masterpiece ... one that the woman in the mirror will be proud of.  While my dream is help more women become millionaires, to stand on stage, to inspire women across the globe and show my kids what's possible ...your dreams will be different.  Yours might be bigger or smaller than mine and no matter WHAT they are, what's important is that you determine what YOUR legacy is and then take the next step.

Every. Single. One. Counts.

No matter where you are now, your past does NOT define your future.  Trust in the divine timing and take the next step.

... and while you're at it ... one more thing.

The KEY to creating your own legacy is to blaze your own fucking trail.  Follow your intuition.  Pay attention to what comes easy to you (your gifts) and do more of THAT and less of what someone tries to tell you that you "should" do.   The clients in my world who take the huge quantum leaps, who manifest the crazy cool things, whose relationships improve when they thought there was no hope ... they reach for the things that bring them joy NO MATTER WHAT.

And magic happens ...

FENG SHUI TIP OF THE MONTH

For those of you who watch me live in the UNSTUCK group, you'll notice that behind me, on an antique shelving unit, is a display of a lot of crystals.  While I loved having them surrounding me, I realized that they had become a part of my environment that was so ... constant ... that I stopped noticing it.

My Feng Shui Tip of the month is to MOVE things to a place of honour, where you notice, cherish and LOVE them again.  When you stop noticing them ... find a new spot!

I moved these three crystals to my bookshelf in my Creativity area.  The larger of them is sitting on a little doily that my grandmother made (it's a technique called "tatting").  I guess she was still in the process of finishing it - it has a stray thread and a safety pin and I feel as though she is "with" me when I look at it.  It's special to me and I am in love with this little corner of my home.

Feng Shui to me, is not the superstitious bullshit that most think it is (or some practitioners believe).  To me ... it's just about knowing that our space has a profound affect on us.  When we know this, we can change how we feel in an instant.

CHERISH your belongings.  SURROUND yourself with beauty.  Take CARE of your possessions as though each and every one of them is precious ... because they are ... and so are you.

COOL SHIT I LOVE:

I came across a lot of really cool things this month.  My friend's new store in Kitscoty, Alberta is one of my faves.  SOOOOOO cute and stuff from local artisans in Alberta and Saskatchewan!!  I love the "cheeky" stuff and Angie McLean doesn't disappoint!  ;)

Also this month, I was given a REALLY good bottle of red wine.   While my desire is to fit back into my "jeans of yester-year" for my 50th birthday and wine is apparently not ALLOWED in my water bottle (sheesh)... this wine was SO tasty I had to share it with you!  Also, it's from BC and you know how I am about celebrating all things Canadian!!!  Let me know if you try it!

Next up ... I have been meaning to tell you chicks this forEVER and kept forgetting.  Cool shit I love takes a bit of a turn cause I'm talking to you about how to keep your cheese.  I know ... it's freakin weird.

A chef once told me that to keep your cheese longer, you should wrap it in tinfoil.  I rolled my eyes at him and have NEVER done that ... but you can try it if you'd like.  This is MY new trick and it seems to be working like a charm as opposed to my ziplock-baggy-on-the-end-with-a-rubber-broccoli-band that I WAS using.

Cut off a chunk of cheese, right through the plastic wrap.  Remove the cheese from that end.  Replace the plastic on the remaining piece.  Super slick!

Looks so much neater and tidier than my broccoli band too ...

 WHAT (or who) INSPIRES ME:

Full disclosure:  a LOT inspires me.  It's hard for me to choose just one thing each month cause I choose to believe that every moment can be an inspiration to me.  I'm inspired by the way a flower petal is so soft.  I am inspired by the pollen on the back of a bee.  I'm inspired by the various things I see through my camera lens.

This month, there has been so much to be grateful for and my social media was full of amazingness but THIS one ... is my favourite.

There's something purely magical that happens when you are finally able to tap into that personal power.  While Marilyn Monroe definitely is an icon in this realm ... we ALL have it.  What I love is that I get to watch it happen.  I see this time and time again in my clients ... it's like the light flips on and MAGIC happens.  They step into their power, their eyes sparkle and the world as they see it is never the same.  The way the world sees THEM isn't the same either ... they have that "thing" that is irresistible.  I haven't shared enough of these moments but I promise to do better.  These women represent what's possible ... just like Marilyn.

CLIENT SHOWCASE:

For the month of May I have been running my all-time favourite course "The Power of You".  I go live 13 times (my favourite number incidentally).  I send out journal prompts and exercises and my own channelled meditations.  I also have conversations with my clients in the DM's as well as private sessions.

That is WHAT I do, but it's not WHY I do it.  WHY I run this course is because I was so burnt out, pissed off and anxiety ridden that I needed a break.  My brain was in the spin cycle 24/7.  I couldn't sleep because my brain wouldn't stop thinking and I knew this was not the life I was meant to live.

I spent 9 months working on myself.  I hired a coach for $24,000.  It was the highest investment I had made to date and it made me cringe a little but I followed my gut.  I became a certified meditation guide.  I took a tranquilizer dart to the rabid squirrels running around in my brain and I felt peace, assuredness on my next steps, the confidence, followed by intense power ... the power of ME.

And I want that for every woman on this planet.

The women in this course, who have trusted me with their thoughts, their fears, their limiting beliefs and their dreams ... are nothing short of incredible.  Some have:

* made their first sales
* had huge ah-ha's (I call them click moments)
* manifested a TON of money
* felt inner peace and joy amid the worst of situations
* gained clarity on their situations, their businesses, their niches and themselves
* felt POWER after it was previously stripped away

It takes a shit ton of courage to show up like they have.  It takes a great deal of trust in me and in each other, that I don't take for granted.  It takes all the guts they've got, to take that next step ... to believe in themselves and in me enough to get out of where they ARE in order to get to where they want to be.

They are bad ass and I'm honoured to be a part of their journey and so this month, I'm celebrating each of them as they take their next steps toward the life they desire.

WHAT'S COMIN UP?

Whether its business coaching, life coaching or getting-your shit-together-using-the-power-of-your-space coaching ... I love it all.  I love SEEING those #click moments ... the sparkle in my client's eyes when it all becomes so clear.  I love receiving messages regularly that tell me their relationships have changed, they are making more sales, they have greater clarity and more energy.  I love it all.

So what's up next?  Remember waaaaay back in April when I ran something called the WEALTH WEEKEND.  It was kick-ass if I do say so myself.  This month I'm working on my next new course but in the meantime .....

I'm opening ONE more spot for private coaching with me!!

It includes 4 private zoom calls with me (my intuition, my mindset work and my charming self), full 24/7 access to me through voxer for the duration of our time together, and all the support, guidance, focus and energy I've got.  I've got a shit ton of business and life coaching experience, I can remove the wall that you believe is blocking you, and I've got a proven track record of clients who SOAR when they take action.  There is NO reason to stay stuck, when I can clearly see that you were meant to fly.

Because I have just one spot available, I have created a wait list as well.  Once completed I will get back to you within 24-48 hours and provide you all the options!  EEEEEK this is going to be sooooooo fun.

Private coaching waitlist/application is here

TASTY SHIT!

Ok.  Admittedly this is an awfully unfortunate recommendation for banana bread decoration.  I find the concept of using your feminine energy and the law of attraction to be wonderful ... but this might be taking things a bit too far?  VAGINA Bread anyone???

Ok seriously ... it's just banana bread.

I promise:  No vaginas were harmed in the making of this bread.

Gluten-Free Banana Bread (low carb/no sugar added)

  • 3 ripe bananas 2 mashed, 1 sliced in half length wise (if you want this odd look to yours too?)
  • 3/4 cup (3oz/85g) almond flour
  • 1/4 cup (¾ oz/21g) coconut flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup (2 ½ oz/71g) sugar free maple syrup, maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 cup (1 ½oz/43g) walnuts, roughly chopped

Instructions

  • Pre-heat your oven to 350°F (180°C), then line a 9x5 inch loaf tin with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl stir together the almond flour, coconut flour, baking soda, and cinnamon.
  • In a separate bowl combine the mashed banana, eggs, coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla.
  • Fold the wet ingredients into the dry until a batter is formed. Lastly, fold in the chopped walnuts — reserving some to sprinkle over the top of the bread.
  • Transfer the batter to your lined baking tin. Lay the two halves of the whole sliced banana on the top and sprinkle over the reserved walnuts.
  • Bake the banana bread for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
  • When the bread is done remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before removing from the tin. Slice and serve warm or room temperature.
  • Cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Our Tips n Tweaks:

Cam and I really liked this banana bread.  Shea ... not so much, but she is pretty picky about her banana bread.  Cole ... ate it with a shrug - not ENTIRELY sure what that meant exactly????

What I loved most about this recipe is that I didn't feel bloated or tired after.  Cam ... loved the butter he put on it.  LOL.  Whichever way you choose, we all preferred the cooled version better than the hot - it seemed to hold together a bit better when it was cold.

Let me know if you try it!
